Grand Park Orchard offers a rather limited selection of 1 resturant and 2 bars.

Should you book a club room, you will get the option of having breakfast either at the Open House Restaurant or at the Crystal Club Lounge. Needless to say, the Open House Restaurant offers a much more generous selection of foods, given its larger space area as compare to that at the lounge. However, exclusivity and privacy are compromised as the main restaurant is much more crowded and noisy.

Breakfast at Open House Restaurant consists of an intercontinental selection, numerous stations serving foods of different cuisines. There is definitely something for everyone, from breads to Asian cuisine to Western breakfast. On top of those stations, there is even a chef all ready to cook an omelette or scrambled eggs with a selection of toppings at your request.

Overall, I must say that I was satisfied with the breakfast, although I felt that the hotel could have included more variety or added something unique to their breakfast. This is because the breakfast is really ordinary and very much similar to that of other hotels. Nonetheless, the breakfast was still wonderful and will definitely satisfy regular tourists or businessmen who are in a rush.

Onyx bar is one of the two bars housed in the hotel and is located at the same area as the restaurant. It is a rather small but cosy place, consisting of several sofas and a standard bar-top sitting arrangement.

However, I would not encourage patronising the bar during the restaurant’s peak hours, such as dinner time as the noise and clatter of cutleries can be heard very clearly from the bar. This is definitely not an environment that many would desire.

Hence, guests also have the option of patronising Bar Canary, an alfresco styled bar with a beautiful setting at night. Bar Canary serves up classic cocktails and alcoholic selection. On top of that, its alfresco setting is a preferred place for smokers to hang out.

The night atmosphere at Bar Canary is very much alike to that of a bar along Clarke Quay, albeit with a more quiet and peaceful setting. The seats are comfortable but unfortunately, Bar Canary lacked some good views that would have brought the experience to a whole new level. Besides that, the drinks are reasonably priced and the service was of quite a good standard.

Grand Park Hotel is truly well deserving of its 5 star rating. The most impressive part about the hotel is the service, especially at the Club Lounge. Though the rooms are generally not big (as are other facilities in the hotel), the hotel still provides a more than decent level of comfort and luxury. The location of the hotel would be best for avid shoppers and medical tourists as well. For businessmen and those who intend to spend much time in the the hotel, our recommendation would be to book a club room, as it gives you full access to the Crystal Club Lounge, where you can look forward to enjoying all day refreshments in an exclusive environment.
