Bathroom

As you would have expected by now, the bathroom, like the rest of the room was really modest in size. However, it was definitely more than adequate, as all the amenities were a pleasure to use and were well maintained. I also enjoyed the green and white tiles all over the bathroom, as I found the design slightly “ancient” and oriental – befitting of a small hotel in Hong Kong.

Though the bathroom was indeed small, I was pleased to notice that there was an abundance of toiletries and amenities provided. From shampoo to a hair dryer, I must say that Bishop Lei International House has done quite a god job of ensuring that guest’s need are well met. Guests (especially females) would also appreciate the extendible vanity mirror which had a magnifying function to aid in putting on make up or contact lenses. All these features and amenities also added convenience and comfort to my stay, which made me enjoy myself despite the small space in the room.

Due to the space constraint, guest do not have the luxury of choosing between a shower and a bathtub like in many other bathtubs. However, I was impressed that the shower was in fact a “three-in-one” shower! The functions of the shower system was controlled by a three-pronged knob at the middle of the silver coloured board and by turning the knob, you can switch from using the shower head to the rainfall shower and to the (what I think is the) massage function, where six shower heads spray water at your body with significant pressure. I must say I was impressed by this system, as it showed me that space wasn’t a limit to the number of functions and choices that a hotel can offer to guests. Above all, I was also extremely pleased with the fact that the water was constantly warm and water pressure was just right, ensuring that I had nice comfortable baths throughout my stay.
