Oasia Hotel has many facilities that guests can enjoy, one of which is the outdoor swimming pool.
Located on the ground floor, the swimming pool offers a sanctuary for guests to have a quick swim or just a dip to de-stress. However, the pool area is surrounded by tall offices and condominiums nearby, which blocks the sun’s rays from reaching the pool during certain timings. As such, sun loving tourists will find it hard to get a tan before the late morning and after some time in the afternoon and so the beach would definitely be a much better place if you want to get a sun tan.
During my stay, I was very fortunate to have the chance to make use of the club lounge, which is only accessible by club room guests. The club lounge serves an array of tidbits and drinks to guests, and also provides an exclusive area for guests who prefer some tranquillity and quiet. The club lounge also serves a delicious breakfast spread of local and intercontinental food for guests staying in the club rooms. The quality of the food was also good enough to satisfy a hungry businessman who is in a rush to go to work.
Furthermore, the Club Lounge contained a separate swimming pool and jacuzzi exclusively for club guests. The swimming pool is separated from the lounge itself, but is still contained indoors so club guests are able to utilise the pool regardless of the weather. This wonderful addition truly enhances the hotel experience for club guests and undoubtedly, makes club guests feel special.
The chairs and sun beds by the pool are also very quiet and due to the exclusivity, they are often unoccupied. Thus means that club guests will be able to get the seats they want almost all the time. Furthermore, the architecture of the pool area gives it a private and luxurious feel, and all these only add joy to the experience for guests.
However, I noted that there were many pillars used to support the ceiling and these pillars had their roots in the pool (there are actually more pillars than what is seen in the above picture). This pillars would be a nuisance to pool users, and swimmers would have to take extra caution not to swim into the pillars. Hence, the club pool is really not built for users who desire for exercise, but only for those who want a pool to have a dip in, relax, and chat.
Oasia Hotel Singapore is a wonderful hotel for businessmen, especially those with appointments in the office towers in the Novena area. Tourists who are here for medical treatment might also love the location of this hotel due to its proximity from the numerous medial and specialist centres around the area. However, businessmen with jobs in the CBD might want to choose somewhere more convenient, like in the CBD, Clarke Quay or Chinatown areas. Tourists who enjoy shopping and love the night life might also prefer somewhere else, though Oasia hotel does not lose out much in terms of convenience.
